.   I am a practising artist working with sound, digital technology as well as the traditional pencil, paint and 3D work.  My work involves researching and capturing time and place in areas of interest, particularly rarely seen rural areas.  I am privileged to work where the elements and nature work with and against man's rather ceaseless attempt to fashion the natural world into his working ideal. The rural life has  and is an often misrepresented vision of the rural idyll.
Rural life can be brutal and unrelenting but the rewards are also poignant and breathtaking.

I hope my work gives an indication of the
following;

 Visual
anthropology combined with recollection and
memory

 Sound
anthropology (living archives) to stimulate connection with the visual both
imagined and actual.

 Personal
memories and histories caught in existing threads of
time.

 I hope to try and invite the viewer and listener to my work on a mental and visual narrative.

 I continue to be fascinated by man's attempt to define and categorize time when faced with nature and the elements, the inter-weaving of memory, history and action against the revolving cycle of the natural world.
